I have discovered a love of templates - I was always afraid to say I used them, but then I read one of Sir Scrapalot's posts on his blog and I thought if he could admit to loving and using them, then so can I!!! This layout was created using one of Sir Scrapalot's templates, my Mulberry Snow and his Merry and Bright Alpha to finish... I love it! The photo I should probably have played with, but in its natural state, it shows the view from my front door across the garden to the other side of the street. Snowy!!!!

I created a layout using the new collab - Simply Christmas. I used at least one piece from each designer's contribution. I think it's lovely - how about you? It shows my 2 daughters and my grand daughter. In fact, the one on the right is our newest designer - Scissorsgalore Scrapz. Her real name is Aimee and her sister Sophie and my littlest girl is Olivia. She's 3 and a right holy terror!

A Challenge Layout

I did another layout! Whoo hoo! This one is for a challenge over at Scrapbook Max! Do any of you use it? It was my first scrapbooking program. They have now brought out a new version, I have downloaded the trial - I'll let you know what I think later after I've had a go with it. This layout features Olivia, my favourite model :) She was having her hair curled and wasn't too sure about it at first, but you can see she likes the finished effect.

The layout was created from Angelwithin's Ripped and Patched, a Scrapbook Max! Booster pack. I love it! It was really easy to work with too!

I did this layout of Olivia to remember a day trip we had earlier in the year. She/we had such a wonderful time just chasing each other on the beach! Olivia got in the water too;needless to say, I did not!!! LOL! Do you see the sky in the photo? It hasn't been adjusted at all...isn't it wonderful?
I used 'Day by the Lake' by me - Angelfaye's Designs.
Angels that Scrap is fully running again - just waiting for you to call in...the gallery needs some new colour and the forum needs your input!

At last, I can tell you that everything is back to normal; I had had some problems with my hosting service, but all is well now!

Font Challenge Layout! And a blackbirds tale!

Hi! I got my layout done for the Font Challenge at Angels that Scrap! It's a gorgeous font - really easy to work with! The image is linked to the gallery where you will find more super layouts featuring the chosen fonts - past and present!

This layout shows a female blackbird who regularly visits my dogs food bowl. Ringo, I have to tell you, is none too happy about this - but he's not fast enough to do anything about it! LOL!

This morning she (or one of her friends) came in through a cracked door and couldn't get out when Ringo went to investigate the noise from his corner. I called my husband, Alex, for help - I can't be doing with flying birds (including butterflies - I know, I know! LOL!), so I thought he would open the door and she could get out. No, that is not quite what happened. He left the door he came through open and gave her full access to the whole house! And then proved himself to be even more anxious than I was. So I followed her from room to room upstairs, snapping as I went, until I had her in the bathroom. Whereupon I shut the door and we settled down for a girly chat! LOL! That is to say that I spoke gently to her and she relaxed - until she spotted the mirror and the inevitable happened. She thought it was a window and kept aiming at it. I was getting very upset by now and on the last throw of herself at the mirror, she fell to the floor,where I was able to pick her up in a towel. I never touched her at all, I picked all the corners and edges, so as not to disturb her anymore than I had to
Having got to the garden, with a very curious Ringo snapping at my heels, I laid the towel on the grass. Ringo had been shut back in the kitchen by now so I opened it gently and she looked at me, cocked her head and flew away!
And then I told Alex that he a was a great big wuss!
What a great way to start the day! And I mean that - communing with nature is wonderful in all its forms...

A little shout out to my web host! Thank goodness for them and their know how...I have spent a really hairy 2 days trying to sort the forum after messing up with a mod installation. You have no idea until you've tried it as to how horribly and how quickly things can go wrong..I can't praise them enough - so if any of their employees should ever read this - THANK YOU!!!!
They brought the whole thing back to life just when I thought it had breathed its last!

So now, there is a fabulous new challenge in the 'Challenge Area' which may interest you - I sure hope it does, it took me a while to get it all figured in my mind and then put on 'paper'. We have Doodads!!!

I love these doodads!!! I just didn't know what else to call 'em...they are cardboard with paper stitched on and felt words added...what would you have called them???
Anyway, there are 6 of them and they match 'Spring's Delights', but could be used with a whole range of other products. The colours are pretty neutral...and very pretty!!!

Hi chickies! Two posts in one day? I used to find it difficult to do 2 posts in one month *grins*
Anyway - what it is - is that Angels that Scrap still needs a couple more designers and so I thought I'd ask you all again if you would like to come and play with some angels?? Some Raks, some new kits and a new blinkie!

Hello everyone!
I have some new kits and bits in the shop today. First up, we have 'Spring's Delights' - my newest favourite!

I love the palette I used in this kit - I'm gonna show you the elements a bit bigger now too...
And then there are my Floral Masks - which work equally well with paper or photos. They are being beautifully modeled by Olivia, my grand daughter.

And, last but not least, vellum sheets. Vellum sheets with a scuffed edge in 6 pastel colours.

Now to the RAKs - there are the Floral Masks and Spring's Delights up for grabs in the forum and all you have to do is register, say hi and tell me what you like about them! Not much to ask, I think!!! *smiles*

And now to our new blinkie! Did you see it on your way in? Leann made it for us - don't you just love it? I do!!!!

If you snag it and wear it - you never know, I may feel generous! Well, any of our designers may feel in a giving mood!!! *grins* Try it and see...that's it for now...

Today is a good day in my little part of the scrapping,designing,business owning world!! Why?? you say...because today I have taken on 1 new designer (and I do mean new!!!) and 2 new CT members and one of those is new-new too!
It's all very exciting, if a lot of work. Thank Heavens, I have Debbie to help me with it all! Thanks Debbie!!!
We have Leann - you probably know her as 'ScrappinLeantastic' - she is coming on board as a designer!! Hi Leann!!! *waves*
Then we have Leonie and Lynneyboo - 2 new CT Members. I have known Lynne for a few years now - we met at Scrapbook Flair, where she showed some of the funniest, outlandish layouts I've ever seen!!! *In a good way, Lynne **waves** *. And Leonie - she is on her first CT - well it's a good thing to start at the top!!! *giggles* and I look forward to great things from her. I've seen her 'trad' pages, believe me - she's good!

I've been tagged by Helen - Ice Princess Scrapz - thanks for that!!! I've been dreading getting this one, cos you never know what you'll find on this PC, with my husband being a miniature gaming fan! He paints the most wonderful models,but takes the most awful photo!!! *grins*! I refused to check it out first, in case I was tempted to do a bit of re-naming!! *giggles*.And lo and behold - what do I find in the 6th folder? Yup, photos of models and not only that but bad ones!! Ah well, that's the fun of the game I guess - so here it is. The 6th photo in my 6th folder is.......

....a dreadful photo of 2 beautifully painted Lord of the Rings models! I'll put a good one up in another post, but in the spirit of the game, I'll leave this one stand alone...

A new designer and some new products!

We have a new designer! Scissorsgalore Scrapz has joined us today and has 2 wonderful element packs in store for you!

First up - we have 'It's raining Flowers' a set of beautiful knitted flowers! Priced at $2 they won't break the bank!! *smiles*

And then we have these brilliant wraps! These are priced at $2.50 - also a bargain!

As you can see, they would work well together on a layout...

Aneta has 'Baby' in store - A beautiful kit not limited to layouts of babies!

Baby is priced at $3.50 and is packed full with 18 papers and 54 elements!!!

Angelfaye Designs has something new - for her anyway! It's a set of 4 collage photo masks.

A Change of name and another award!

So - how many of you noticed that the blog has a new name??? I changed it to fit in line with the store and the community forum and also the gallery! I think it will be a good move in the end. My only sorrow is that when I brought the old place over, the followers didn't come! Maybe we'll get some more and the previous ones will come back too :)

I received another award yesterday - from Jeanette at Easy Custom Blogs. She is truly an amazing woman - working and looking after her family AND finding time to look after us, as well. *hand clap*

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

I have uploaded a new kit to the store, I really like this one and I hope you do too! It’s a birthday kit – my first one ever!! It is full of soft pink and blue as you would expect from a unisex kit, but also yellow and green.

I even made a layout with it – mostly to show my daughter, Aimee, that it’s not so difficult to use bold papers! I made one of mine into a mat – I think it works!! *grins* And 2 others into strips – which seems to be all the rage again!!! It’s amazing how the fashions in scrapbooking come and go just like clothing fashions or colours!!

ummm – that’s it for now. I’ll be back with something for you soon!

A new blog layout and a new sig!

I have been very busy thanks to Jeanette - she has inspired me to just keep trying new things and with that in mind, I have revamped this blog and Angelfaye's Corner. This blog has been created with my newest kit - Choco-Mint Blooms and I love it!!!! And I did a brand new siggy to go with it. It's so exciting and it's all thanks to my new friend, Jeanette.If you haven't visited her yet, you should. You should bookmark or follow her blog too. She is a source of great knowledge when it comes to prettifying your blog!!

So, have you seen do my new blog layout over at angelfaye's corner??? I love it - I made it with Day by the Lake and I have put it in the store as a gift to you.

I will be making more of these, I think - they're so fun!! *smiles* and I'm toying with the idea of making them one-offs, so if you buy one,you won't be seeing it anywhere else! Let me know what you think!

Day by the Lake, a challenge or 2 and some layouts!

There's a new kit in store and I love how it turned out! It's called 'Day by the Lake' and is full of mellow greens and blues. And if you look at the layouts I made with it you will see that it isn't to be confined to watery layouts!!!!

And here are 2 layouts I made for Challenges at DID and also at Angels that Scrap.

This beautiful li'l face is Olivia,my grand daughter. Just look at those eyes - the challenge? To use the lyrics from KT Tunstall's The Universe and U.
The journaling reads - 'with your childs eyes, you are more than you seem. I see in your face the places you've been.'

And this layout? I hate one's featuring me, but that's the point of this challenge! It's the Life ABC at DID hosted by Cassel.

But, the point is - do you see any water?? No, you don't *big grin* - that's how versatile this li'l kit is!!! *chuckles*

Back in Business!! Yippee!!!! - AN UPDATE...

Okay - we're back in business!

My new site is up and running - the store has products in it, the forum has members and posts *grins* and the gallery is starting to be used.
We also have 2 new designers on board - just waiting for products!!! *hint* There's Jay aka Jay Elliott Designs and Melissa aka WDDesigns. I can't wait to start working with them - this is just a wonderful 2nd step on the journey that I have been looking forward to making....
I will have to set to work to put a gallery tab in the header - and pretty up my signature and I might even go so far as to have a complete overhaul of the look of this place!

Well - I did it!!! Thanks go to Jeanette (Memorykeeper) for all her help in making my dream come true (which is appropriate because the newest kit that will be going into my store is called 'Dream Big'!!!).I now have a forum and a shop and my blog all linked together! How wonderful is that??? I can't tell you what it means to me - I have spent a small fortune on 'point and click' websites, that I just cannot get to work the way I want them to. I am sooo happy - can you tell????!!! *LOL*
Right - back to work - gotta finish that kit for you - you will love it!!!

Hey there! You found me! Great!!!!
I decided I would make another blog from scratch - firstly to prove to myself that I could! And secondly, because this one is gonna focus on my own little store. And not so much on what I do for others - except maybe the odd freebie! I have had a go at some extractions for Commercial Use for you, but I am not sure if they are up to the mark. How about if I post a pic and you tell me if you want them??? Sound OK? Then, that's what I will do. I love that one of them says 'Good Luck', don't you?
